Get Ready for the Conference

First Stop at the Conference

You can check in to the conference and pick up your name badge at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center, Level 1, Longhorn Marble Foyer from:

  • 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 20
  • 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22
  • 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

Mobile App

The WorldatWork 2018 Total Rewards Conference mobile app is available for free to install on your smartphone or tablet. Download the app for Android and iOS to have conference information at your fingertips; build your personal daily agenda; get real-time reminders and updates; connect with attendees, speakers and exhibitors; and more. Search for "WorldatWork" in your app store and use totalrewards18 as your password. You can change your password once you're in the app.

Also, go to our Total Rewards Conference page on Facebook and mark yourself as "attending." Along with the opportunity to connect with other speakers and attendees, you'll get to see behind-the-scenes photos and videos as well as other fun information leading up to this year's conference.

Schedule

Create your conference schedule by selecting the sessions and events that interest you most. A variety of outstanding experts, practitioners and networking opportunities await you.

Session Seating

There are many popular sessions and seats will fill fast. Please remember: Though you may add sessions to your schedule in the mobile app, this does not guarantee your seat. Arrive early to secure your spot.

Session Handouts

If speakers submit a PowerPoint presentation in advance, we'll provide a PDF handout of the presentation on the conference website and in the mobile app before and after the event. Please note: Some speakers choose to not provide their session handouts.

To access handouts on the website, log in and selection "Session Handouts," located at the top of the website next to your name.

Food and Drinks

We provide a variety of food and drinks at the conference:

  • Monday, May 21: Plated breakfast; snacks and refreshments during the morning and afternoon networking breaks; buffet lunch; hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and specialty drinks at the evening reception.
  • Tuesday, May 22: Breakfast buffet; snacks and refreshments during the morning and afternoon networking breaks; buffet lunch; hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and specialty drinks at the evening reception.
  • Wednesday, May 23: Continental breakfast; snacks and refreshments during the morning networking breaks.

If you have special dietary needs, contact customerrelations@worldatwork.org by May 11. Otherwise, plan for a variety of delicious options including healthy and vegetarian choices.

Member Appreciation Event | 8 p.m. — 10 p.m., May 21

We're celebrating YOU WorldatWork members with a fun event filled with drinks, dancing, snacks and a few surprises! This event is free to attend. If you RSVPed when you registered, your ticket will be distributed on-site at check-in. If you would prefer to RSVP at a later date, then please contact our Customer Relationship Services team and they can assist you.

Hotel

Reserve a room at selected hotels in the area by contacting our third-party housing partner, Advanced Reservation Systems Inc. (ARES), 877-300-6147. All attendees, speakers and exhibitors are responsible for making their own room reservations.

If you've already booked your room, you should receive your confirmation number no later than Monday, April 30. If you want details on your room rate, taxes or resort fees, contact the hotel directly.  

Packing Tips

Pack everything you need for the conference. Here are some tips to get you started:

  • Shoes: You'll walk a lot, so bring comfortable shoes.
  • Clothes: Pack extra layers in case the meeting space is cooler than you like.
  • Electronics: Bring a charger so you can keep your electronics charged and ready. You'll find multiple areas for charging, including our Relax and Recharge Lounge located on Level 3 in the Center pre-function space.
  • Business cards: Pack plenty of business cards so you're not empty-handed while networking.
