WorldatWork will provide you with one complimentary full conference registration, which includes admission to conference sessions, breakfasts, lunches and receptions. WorldatWork will automatically register you for the conference since you have accepted your speaker agreement. You'll receive an email confirming your registration.

Make sure you add the sessions and events you plan to attend to your schedule. Visit the Build My Schedule webpage.

Your biography will appear on the forum website. Please confirm the accuracy of your biographical profile. Send your new or updated biography and professional headshot to Speaker Management by Dec. 31, 2017.

Tips for creating a biography:

  • Limit it to 200 words.
  • Include your name, title, company name and description, length of time in your current role, responsibilities/expertise, how your experience relates to the presentation, your prior roles/credentials and your education.
  • Attach your professional headshot in a high resolution .jpg or .png format (minimum resolution: 300 dpi).

Reserve a room at selected hotels in the area by contacting our third-party housing partner, Advanced Reservation Systems Inc. (ARES), 877-300-6147. All attendees, speakers and exhibitors are responsible for making their own room reservations.

If you've already booked your room, you should receive your confirmation number no later than Monday, April 30. If you want details on your room rate, taxes or resort fees, contact your hotel directly.  

WorldatWork will reimburse up to two nights of lodging at the group rate in a designated conference hotel if you're a practitioner, an academic or a nonprofit organization representative. (Consultants and service providers are not eligible for lodging reimbursement.) No other expenses will be reimbursed. To ensure the group rate, your hotel reservation must be confirmed by the reservation deadline of April 20, 2018.

To receive lodging reimbursement, you must complete and submit an expense reimbursement form (including the hotel bill) by June 30, 2018. Refer to your acceptance email to verify that you qualify to have your lodging reimbursed.

WorldatWork provides speakers with a PowerPoint template to use for your presentation. To submit your presentation, please use the following link to take you to the Freeman Presentation Management site: https://wawtr2018.sessionupload.com.

Speaker Ready Room Schedule and Location: Level 3, Texas 3-4

Wednesday 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Speakers must check-in at the Speaker Ready Room at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled presentation. The computers in the Speaker Ready Room will be configured with hardware and software exactly like the ones in the meeting room. It is imperative that you review your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room. This is where our technicians can help resolve any compatibility or formatting issues and explain the in-room setup.
WorldatWork has prepared a PowerPoint template for your presentation that we encourage you to use. However, it is not a requirement.

Each session room will have: screen, projector, PC laptop, wireless remote, Wi-Fi, wireless lavalieres, and sound (for videos). Note: speakers using their own Mac will need to bring their own adapter cable to connect to the projector.

Sessions will be 60 minutes each. To avoid disrupting other sessions, you're expected to stay within your allocated time slot. You should arrive at the conference venue at least 30 minutes before your session.

Due to the limited time of each session, please allow no more than five minutes to introduce yourself, your co-speakers and your backgrounds. The attendees are there to hear the content and key applications. Please also allow at least five minutes at the end of your session for questions. Be sure to direct attendees to complete the session survey that's located in the conference mobile app.

This year, we have added new design elements to the session rooms. You can expect in most session rooms, barstools or club chairs, in lieu of a draped panel table. Also look for, new attendee seating layouts to provide a more engaging environment.

WorldatWork does not allow outside vendors hired by speakers to record (audio or video) or photograph any sessions or events including, but not limited to, sessions selected via the call for proposals process, receptions, prize drawings, general sessions or activities in the Exhibit Hall or public areas. Only WorldatWork or an accredited news organization can record these sessions and activities.

Please note: WorldatWork may take photos and videos during the conference for use in promotional campaigns or communications.

The conference mobile app will be announced approximately three to four weeks prior to the conference via email and on the conference website. Install the free app on your smartphone to access the most up-to-date conference information including schedules, session details, speaker biographies, attendee networking opportunities and much more.

Upon your arrival at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, check in at the WorldatWork Check-In desk to receive your conference name badge and program materials.

Business or business casual dress is recommended for your speaking engagement. Please note, when presenting you will be using a wireless lavaliere mic, so avoid jewelry or garments that could interfere with the sound or make it difficult to wear the mic. Also, some sessions will have barstools or club chairs without a table in front so please plan accordingly.
